After an extensive search including bids from less qualified contractors, we engaged Chimney Savers to line our circa 1780 colonial home's center chimney flues, including three flexible SS flues for existing fireplaces and an oil burner flue. The work included chimney top dampers and a copper cap. The approach taken avoided having to deconstruct any hearths or mantels, which was important to us since they're mostly of original vintage. Quality of workmanship was excellent; the salesperson and workers all demonstrated good expertise. I would recommend them for work on colonial era homes over anyone whose experience is limited to more contemporary structures.

I had a difficult time finding a chimney repair place that had the expertise necessary to "restore" the chimney in my antique colonial house, circa 1790. The old chimney bricks were turning to powder and there was even a hole in the chimney in the attic.
