We were called out to Rochester, Vermont for an annual chimney cleaning. During a camera inspection of the fireplace chimney’s interior, we found cracks in the terracotta-lined flue caused by a chimney fire the previous winter.

To repair this damage, the terracotta tile liner needed to be removed. In its place, we installed a “heavy-wall” stainless steel chimney liner, parged the smoke chamber and topped the chimney with a new wash and energy-saving lock-top damper.

The chimney and fireplace are now back in good working condition and ready for many years of use.
