CSIA Certified Chimney Cleaning
We make sure your flue and mind are clear for the upcoming heating season!

Chimney Savers offers professional, CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) certified chimney sweeping, for both residential and commercial buildings. According to the Fire Protection Agency, chimneys must be inspected yearly and, if necessary, swept.

A chimney sweep will remove creosote, soot, ash and any blockages throughout your heating system. A chimney sweep will usually be done in less than one hour, but can last as long as two. We will make sure that your home is cleaner than when we got there. We pride ourselves on our "no mess guarantee".

We will send only fully trained chimney sweeps to your home. Our chimney sweeps have not only been trained by the Chimney Safety Institute of America but are honest, knowledgeable, and friendly.

At Chimney Savers we don't use "scare tactics", rather we let you know what we would do if your home was our own. When it comes to burning wood or using other solid fuel-burning appliances, we strongly recommend a chimney inspection and chimney cleaning. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Oil and gas-venting chimneys usually do not need to be swept annually (they are commonly swept less than once every five years). Although a creosote build-up is not common in these systems, there are other dangers, such as nesting birds and deteriorating tiles.

HOMEOWNER TIP (oil boiler flues): It is a good idea for the homeowner to check the clean-out door at the bottom of the chimney for build-up at the end of each year's burning season (typically in the Spring). Because homeowners often do not have their chimneys inspected yearly, it is common for us to see several feet of organic material (e.g., leaves, dirt, and parts of the chimney's interior that have deteriorated) built up in the bottom of the chimney. This build-up becomes extremely dangerous when it comes close to the vent of the appliance attached to the chimney. If this happens, carbon monoxide and other deadly gasses can be forced back into the house with disastrous effects. Don't let this happen in your home!
